Ban đầu ông Jian Feng kết tội vợ là đã ăn nằm với một người đàn ông khác, nhất định đứa bé không phải là con mình vì ông ta nghĩ là mình không xấu tệ như vậy.

Sau khi thử DNA đứa bé, DNA xác nhận ông ta là bố ruột thì cô vợ mới thú nhận với chồng một điều bí mật cô ta giữ kín không bao giờ nói cho chồng biết: Khi còn độc thân, cô ta đi Đại Hàn sửa sắc đẹp, tốn một trăm nghìn dollars.

Ông Feng thưa vợ ra tòa vì lý do là đã bị vợ lừa, vợ dấu ông ta khi còn độc thân đi làm giải phẫu thẫm mỹ. Vì không biết nên khi hai người lập gia đình, ông ta tưởng vợ mình là một cô gái đẹp tự nhiên.

Tòa xử ông ta thắng kiện, bắt bà vợ phải bồi thường cho chồng một trăm hai mươi nghìn dollars.

Ông chồng tuyên bố với báo Irish Times: "Tôi yêu vợ tôi nên mới lấy cô ấy, nhưng khi đứa con gái của chúng tôi ra mắt chào đời thì nó là bắt đầu nguyên nhân của sự cãi nhau. Con gái của chúng tôi xấu đến nỗi nó làm tôi kinh hoàng".

Người vợ trong tin này nói đã đi Đại Hàn giải phẫu thẩm mỹ. Đại Hàn nếu tính theo tỷ lệ đầu người, là nước có dân sửa sắc đẹp nhiều nhất thế giới. Cứ năm phụ nữ thì một người đã sửa sắc đẹp.

Vào tháng 4 vừa qua khi có cuộc tranh giải Hoa Hậu Đại Hàn, một blog Nhật Bản đăng ảnh 20 thí sinh dự thi và nêu ra một điểm ai cũng nhận là đúng: tất cả các cô này đều đã sửa sắc đẹp, và ai nấy đều sửa giống như nhau. Bức ảnh này làm cho dư luận Internet bàn tán xôn xao. Những người ở Đại Hàn đồng ý là nước họ ai cũng sửa sắc đẹp, nhưng một người đã post bức ảnh sau đây khi các cô không sửa soạn, cũng chụp trong thời gian thi hoa hậu, để chứng tỏ rằng trang điểm là lý do chính làm cho mọi người ai cũng có cùng một khuôn mặt xinh đẹp:

Tôi khuyến khích nếu ai có phương tiện và tài chính để làm giải phẫu thẩm mỹ thì nên làm vì người sẽ đẹp ra thêm, hoàn toàn không có gì sai lầm. Thế nhưng một khi đã sửa sắc đẹp, lập gia đình với một người khác cũng sửa sắc đẹp thì nên cảnh giác con của mình sinh ra có thể giống như trong bức hình nửa đùa nửa thật dưới đây:

Nói đến giải phẩu thẫm mỹ, plastic surgery

When a DNA test proved that the baby was his, Feng's wife came clean on a little secret -- before they met, she had undergone about $100,000 worth of cosmetic surgery in South Korea.

Feng sued his ex-wife on the grounds of false pretenses, for not telling him about the plastic surgery and duping him into thinking she was beautiful, The Huffington Post reported.

The kicker? He won. A judge agreed with Feng's argument and ordered his ex-wife to fork over $120,000.

"I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues," he told the Irish Times. "Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me."

At first glance, the images of the contestants in the 2013 Miss Korea pageant seem like a trick of the eye: Wait, are some of these the same person with different hair? At second glance, it's clear that there are different women in each photo, but they have very similar features.

The pictures of the Miss Korea contestants have gone viral over the past 48 hours, showing up on a Japanese blog, then Reddit, and now major international papers. It's obvious that people are stunned, mesmerized, intrigued and incredulous by just how much the contestants look alike. ShenTheWise who originally posted images of the women on Reddit wrote: "Korea’s plastic surgery mayhem is finally converging on the same face."

As previously discussed, South Korea is the country with the highest per capita rate of plastic surgery in the world. One in five women in Seoul have undergone some kind of procedure. In January, when the Korean Plastic Surgery Tumblr went viral, studying the "after" images lead to the conclusion that the "best" face, the optimal look, is one with wide eyes, a pointed chin and a narrow nose.

As one young lady from Singapore who flew to Korea for a nose job (she's already had her eyes done) writes:

“I didn’t do surgery becox people say i look ugly… I didn’t do surgery becox anyone told me i am ugly. I mean, sometimes people (especially people online *stares*) do tell me i am ugly lol. But that’s not why i did surgery.

I did the surgery for myself. Becox i want to have a nicer nose…

I just wanna say that i don’t think i look ugly before lah! I look decent, and especially with makeup and all, everyone can look pretty. Okay, not everyone, most people, with makeup, can look good. But i still choose to do surgery becox i wanna be even better-looking. That’s all.

Let’s say i am a 65/100 before surgery. That’s not BAD-BAD. But there’s absolutely nothing wrong if i want to do something to make me a 75/100. This is also a form of self-improvement and i am sure everyone is up for that.”

We can only assume that attempts at self-improvement is why the 2013 Miss Korea contestants look so similar: All of the ladies are slender, all of the chins are pointy, all of the noses are narrow, almost all of the eyes are flat on the bottom and round on top, like a half-circle. Cosmetic surgery template?
